4.6 Logotype generator
Although the GV-698 is provided with a pre-programmed standard logotype, it
is possible to request additional logotypes made according to the customer's
specifications (OPT 698-1 option). The use of a special logotype is of particular interest
when it is desired to personalize the source of the picture. It may be very useful in
video studios, cable TV networks, communal video installations, broadcasting stations,
etc. In addition, it may be used as advertising publicity for any business supplied with
a receiver.
Generation of the logotype is based on the reading of the EPROM memory
programmed by the manufacturer. If this integrated circuit is exchanged for another
with a different logotype, the new text and/or drawing will appear in the window.
If the customer applies for a logotype, he will be sent the text or logotype
requested recorded on a memory.
