Troubleshooting
Before ca ll ing for service p l ease check the fo ll owing points.
The freezer is not working
Check the p l ug is inserted correct l y into the wa ll socket.
Check there is power to the wa ll socket by p l ugging in another app l iance, if the
other app l iance works check the fuse in the freezer p l ug.
The freezer is noisy when running
Check the freezer is l eve l and it is not in contact with another app l iance or kitchen
furniture.
The freezer does not cool sufficiently
If the door has been opened too often, or it has been l eft open for a whi l e it wi ll take time
for the freezer to reach its set temperature.
Check the airf
l ow over the rear of the freezer has not been reduced due to insufficient
c l earance.
The following characteristics should not be looked upon as a problem
A gent l e trick l ing sound caused by coo l ant f l owing through the pipe.
Compressor operating at high temperatures.
Prolonged idle periods
If you are going to l eave the freezer id l e for any period of time, proceed as fo ll ows:
Disconnect the freezer from the mains supp l y by removing the p l ug from the wa ll
socket. C l ean and dry the inside as instructed under the heading of c l eaning the
freezer.
Leave the door open to prevent any unp
l easant sme ll s from bui l ding up whi l e the freezer
is not in use.
Maintenance
Moving your Freezer
Ho
l d the freezer around its sides or base when moving it. Under no circumstance shou l d
it be l ifted with the edges of the top surface.
Location
Do not l ocate your Freezer near a heat source, EG cooker, boi l er or radiator. A l so avoid
direct sun l ight in l ean-to’s or sun l ounges.
Leveling the Freezer
Make sure the Freezer is l eve l . Use the rotating l eve l ing feet at the front. If the Freezer is
not l eve l , the doors and magnetic sea l a l ignments wi ll be affected.
Servicing
Repairs and maintenance of the app l iance, shou l d on l y be performed by a qua l ified
service agent.
