4.3 SOLAr AIr PUMP
Two short airlines with air stone and foam float are pre-
assembled. Connect one end of the long air line to one
outlet of the air pump, connect the other end and the long
air line (with air stone and float). repeat above assembly
for the other outlet.
Attach the air intake cover to the pump base. Connect
the air pump to the solar panel with the provided cable.
6. FunCtIon
6.1 (Oxygen 3.1) After you have installed the air pump and solar panel (see section 4), your air
pump will begin to work. When the solar panel receives good direct sun light. This solar po-
wered air pump is designed mainly for use in Summer but also work in Spring and Fall as long
as the sun light condition is good enough in your region. The pump‘s performance depends on
the orientation of the solar panel toward the sun (see section 4.2) and the strength of sunlight.
Continuously on / Intermittently on:
When the solar panel receives direct sunlight and the sunlight strength is strong enough, the air
pump will run continuously.
When the solar panel does not receive good direct sunlight or the sunlight strength is not strong
enough, the air pump will work intermittently. The air pump working frequency should depend on
the sunlight conditions.
6.2 (Oxygen 4) After you have installed the air pump and solar panel, your air pump will begin to
work, when the solar panel receives good direct sun light and the battery has been recharged.
This solar powered air pump is designed mainly for use in Summer but also work in Spring and
Fall as long as the sun light condition is good enough in your region. The pump‘s performance
depends on the orientation of the solar panel toward the sun and the strength of sunlight. The
pump can not work if the backup battery power level is low.
l
CONTINUAL ON MODE:
Press the switch button repeatedly to select the continual on mode. When you find the indica-
tor light is green light steady on, the pump is working at Continual on mode. The pump will run
continuously until the battery runs out of all power. The pump will automatically re-start when
the battery has been re-charged.
l
PULSE TIMING MODE (WINTEr MODE):
Press the switch button repeatedly to select the pulse timing mode. When you find the indi-
cator light is green light blinking on, the pump is working at Pulse timing mode. The pump will
work intermittently, it will be on for 5 seconds and off for 10 seconds until the battery runs out
of all power. The pump will automatically re-start when the battery has been re-charged.
The Pulse timing mode is designed to save the battery power when poor weather. We recom-
mend you use this mode to extend the pump‘s daily working time in winter or in cloudy days.
l
BATTErY POWEr LOW:
When you find the indicator light is red light blinking on, that means the battery power is too
low, the pump will shut down shortly to protect the battery. You will need to leave the pump
charging with the solar panel.
In order to provide
maximum aeration in the
pond, we recommend
to locate the air stones
within 30cm depth under
the pond water level by
using the provided floats.

4.1 SOLAr PANEL
Join the bracket, tube and ground spike to-
gether and then attach the solar panel to the
bracket. The solar panel direction toward the
sun can be adjusted with the wing nut in the
bracket. A wall mounting bracket with 3 screws
is included in the pack. So you can install the
solar panel onto a wall or fence if needed.
ImPortant, relates only to oxyGen 4
the temperature range within which the battery can be re-charged is 5 °C to 45 °C. Char-
ging the battery at temperatures over this range may cause damage to the battery or
reduce the battery life span.
In order to keep the battery healthy during storage in winter, please make sure the batte-
ry is re-charged before you store it indoor.
5. InstallatIon
Install the pump in a dry place. Although the air pump is designed to be rain proof, we recom-
mend to place the air pump in a dry weatherproof covered area.
we recommend to place the pump above the pond water level to avoid back siphoning of the
pump water into the air pump. The pump should be located on a firm surface that will not vibrate
and act as a sounding board, a concrete ftoor or patio slab is ideal. Position the pump in a clean
and dust free environment. Excessive dirt will block the air filter reducing the air pump‘s perfor-
mance and speed the wear of replaceable parts.
ImPortant
The air pump must be stood, at all time, on the 4 rubber feet to help prevent water entering the
unit from the air intake cover.
Correct position
4.2 Insert the spike into the ground. Position the
panel to face south (in northern hemisphere) as
much as possible to make the most of the
daylight hours. It is important to engle the solar
panel to face sun when sun Is at Its highest
point. Ensure the solar panel Is not shaded by
trees, shrubs or buildings.
