Keyboard addressing
Assignment of the cassette to a given address (slot) is made in program A-8 (chapter 0) in
parameter number x001. In order to assign the keyboard to a given slot, enter the serial number
of this cassette in parameter X001, where X is the required address (see chapter
Błąd! Nie można
odnaleźć źródła odwołania.
). Addressing is necessary due to system configuration
–
each
keyboard has a separate set of parameters, which, after being defined by the installer, will be used
as a substitute for global parameters. Keyboard with PBX always has the address
“
1
”
. Satellites
can be freely addressed from number 2 to number 7. Each common satellite must be entered in
the same slot in all PBXes that support it. In other words, the common satellite must be entered
everywhere on slot 4 (parameter number 4001).
Note!
Unlike KDC1905 systems, KDC3905 system has no auto-addressing mechanism. In order for
the satellites to operate properly, they should be entered into appropriate slots in PBXes.
Note!
It is not necessary to enter the serial number of KDC3905 keyboard in parameter 1001. Only
serial numbers of satellites, which this PBX has to support, are entered into the PBX.
Note!
When using BM0900 the first slot (parameters 1xxx) is free
–
it is possible to enter any
satellite there. In this configuration the modular base will control its peripherals (locking bolt and
OC) according to the settings of slot 1.
In case of common satellites (cooperating with many PBXes), the slot number must be the same
in all PBXes
–
it is not allowed if the satellite is entered in one PBX in parameter 2001 and in
another in 3001.
The serial numbers of local satellites should be entered in the same way, with the difference that
they are entered only in dedicated PBXes.
11.2.
Global and local parameters
Parameters are divided into global and local parameters. Global parameters are defined in the
range 0
–
999. For simplicity only these numbers will be used in the manual. Global settings are
common for all devices (using the lock code will open the lock attached to keyboard, where the
code has been selected). Local parameters enable to change the operation of a particular
keyboard, without interfering with the functionality of other devices in the system. After defining
the local parameter for e.g. satellite 2, this cassette will not check the global parameter, but will
refer to the local parameter (for example, out of 3 doors that are to open the cassettes, one is
closed with an electromagnetic jumper). The locking settings should be changed then, but in the
local parameter of particular keyboard to which the jumper is connected. The lock parameters are
also available by graphical programming).
To change the local parameter, add a prefix to the global number, which is the address of
keyboard. For example, satellite 3 will have prefix 4. Keyboard from PBX has prefix 1. For example,
parameter 5411 will be the local equivalent of parameter 411 for keyboard no. 5.
NOTE!
All parameters are stored in the keyboard with PBX module, satellite keyboards only save
some parameters (lock settings).
