Special safety instructions
The shelving unit must stand level on a at,
stable surface that can bear the load.
Secure the unit to the wall so that it cannot
tip over. Never stand on the shelves.
Place heavy objects on the lower shelves
and light items on the higher shelves.
Do not expose the unit to water or moisture.
Do not modify the unit in any way.
If one or more parts are damaged, you must
not use the unit.
Preparation
It takes 2 people to assemble the shelving
unit.
Unpack all the parts. Check that all the
necessary parts are included in the package
and place them on a at, even surface. Wipe
down all the parts with a well-wrung cloth
before assembly.
Assemble the shelving unit on a hard
surface, not on a carpet. Be aware that the
posts can leave marks on the surface when
you hammer on them!
It is best to lubricate the contact points
with lubricating spray or silicone during the
assembly process to make things easier.
The workshop shelving unit can be
assembled in two ways:
Assembly as a tall narrow shelving
unit
Assemble an end piece by tting a side piece
(C) into the bottom holes on the two post
parts (A).
The narrow edge on the side pieces should
be facing upwards and the broad edge
should be facing downwards.
Hammer the parts together using a rubber
mallet or a hammer and a block of wood to
protect the surface of the parts. Hammer as
close as possible to the post parts. Do not hit
too hard to avoid deforming the parts.
Insert cross-pieces (B) into the two bottom
holes on the post parts and rmly insert the
cross-pieces into the bottom holes on the
last 2 post parts at the other end.
Hammer a side piece securely between the
last two post parts.
Fit the parts in the order as shown by the
numbers 1-5 in the illustration.
