Adjustment of the gripping range (NW) for manhole cones with undercut
Ex.: NW 625/1000 mm
When adjusting
manhole cones
with undercut
, the marking notch (
) must be in line
with the nominal width number (here example NW 625/1200) (
).
The same nominal width number (here example NW 625/1200) must be visible in the
inspection box (on the movable suspension), see Fig. 7.
It must be checked before each use whether the cone can be safely gripped and transported.
Otherwise there is a risk of the load or parts of the load falling!

In the special case of
manhole cones
with NW-Ø 800/1200, there is no explicit labelling.
When adjusting these manhole cones, the marking notch on the movable bracket (
)
must be on the nominal width number 900 (
).
The nominal width number 700 must be visible in the inspection box (on the movable
suspension), see Fig. 8.
It must be checked before each use whether the cone can be safely gripped and transported.
Otherwise there is a risk of the load or parts of the load falling!
