OPERATION
BEFORE USE
1. Examine grease gun for misalignment, damage, noise or binding of
moving parts; leaking battery pack; or damaged hose prior to use.
Install the battery pack.
2. Check that a used cartridge has not been left in the barrel before
attempting to refill the gun. Compress the spring by pulling the
plunger handle fully outward and latch the plunger rod in the slot
on the end cap. Remove the grease gun head by turning it counter-
clockwise to remove the empty cartridge.
3. Before pushing the plunger rod into the barrel, release it from the
slot in the end cap that holds the rod fully extended and allow it to
slide forward.
4. Load the grease gun with a cartridge, bulk loading or transfer
pump loading using the detailed instructions for each under
Assembly/Installation
above.
5. Remove air pockets from grease by priming the gun. Follow the
steps in the section below called
Priming the Grease Gun.
PRIMING THE GREASE GUN
1. After cartridge or bulk loading the grease gun, carefully release the
plunger handle from the slot in the end cap. (In case of filler pump
loading, the plunger rod is already free from the slot.)
2. Rotate the plunger handle to engage the plunger rod with the
follower. Move plunger rod back and forth into the grease barrel to
force out trapped air.
3. Disengage the plunger rod from the follower by rotating the plunger
handle. Push the plunger rod into the grease barrel.
4. Wipe the automatic air bleeder to remove any external grease.
5. Press the grease gun switch until the gun starts dispensing grease.
DURING USE
1. Start operating the grease gun. Grease will begin to flow out from
the coupler.
2. Keep running the gun until a bubble free clear stream of grease
flows out.
