Pouring the water
(4)
(1)
(7)
1. Use the handle (4) to lift the
kettle off the base (7).
2. With the lid closed, pour the
boiling/hot water through the
spout (1) and into your chosen
container.
3. If you
– want to heat more water, al-
low the appliance to cool off
for 30 seconds.
– do not want to heat any more
water, pull the mains plug out
of the socket.
Empty the kettle after each
use. Otherwise, limescale
will build up more quickly in the
appliance and the water will be-
come stale if the appliance is not
used for an extended period of
time.
Overheat protection
The appliance has a fixed temper-
ature regulator that protects the
heating element from overheating if
– the appliance is accidentally
switched on without water.
– the heating element is covered
with limescale.
• If the appliance temperature
regulator has switched off, you
should allow the kettle to cool
off for 15–20 minutes and des-
cale it before using it again.
