Maintenance
and cleaning
• Clean the appliance thoroughly after
use.
• Make sure the plug has been removed
from the plug socket before cleaning
the appliance.
• Make sure no moisture comes into
contact with the appliance’s electrical
parts.
• Never immerse the appliance, the
power cord or the plug in water or
other liquids.
• Never use aggressive or scouring
cleaning products or sharp objects
(such as a knife or a hard brush) to
clean the appliance.
Cleaning the appliance
1 Remo v e the pl u g from the pl u g socket.
2 Clean the exterior of all the components
w ith a damp cloth. Only u se cleaning
prod u cts that are s u ita b le for plastic.
3 Dry the appliance and the accessories
thoro u ghly b efore storing them.
4 O v er the co u rse of time, d u st and dirt
can acc u m u late aro u nd the w heel
axles, there b y pre v enting the w heels
from t u rning easily. They sho u ld,
therefore, b e kept clean.
Emptying the dust collector
See fig u re 8.
The “D u st collector f u ll" indicator indicates
w hen the d u st collector m u st b e emptied.
1 Remo v e the pl u g from the pl u g socket.
2 Remo v e the d u st collector b y lifting the
d u st collector’s handle and taking o u t
the d u st collector.
3 Hold the d u st collector a b o v e a r ubb ish
b in and press the d u st collector b ase
u nlocking bu tton.
4 Make s u re the d u st collector is
completely empty. If necessary, shake
the d
u st collector to remo v e all the
w aste.
5 Close the b ase of the d u st collector b y
clicking it into place.
6 Place the d u st collector b ack into the
appliance. P u sh the handle of the d u st
collector’s co v er do w n as far as
possi b le. This w ill lock the d u st collector
in the appliance.
Replacing the HEPA filter
See fig u re 9.
Reg u larly check w hether the HEPA filter is
b locked. If this is the case, clean the filter
or replace it w ith a ne w filter.
1 Remo v e the pl u g from the pl u g socket.
2 Remo v e the d u st collector b y lifting the
d u st collector’s handle and taking o u t
the d u st collector.
3 Remo v e the w aste from the d u st
collector as descri b ed in ‘Emptying the
d u st collector’.
4 Remo v e the co v er from the d u st
collector (see fig u re 9A). Hold the co v er
in one hand and u se yo u r other hand to
u nscre w the d u st collector b y rotating it
clock w ise. The arro w on the co v er w ill
no w b e aligned w ith the arro w w ith the
pict u re on the d u st collector. Remo v e
the co v er from the d u st collector.
5 Remo v e the filter t ub e and the filter
from the d u st collector’s co v er (see
