DINGHY & OUTBOARD MOTOR
We provide an Achilles DINGHY and a 9.9 Mercury 2 stroke outboard engine for your ship to shore needs. This
outboard DOES USE mixed fuel/oil. The mixed gas fuel tank is stored in the swimstep. The dinghy has a capacity
of about 500 pounds (motor, equipment, and approximately 4 adults). Lower into the water as per instructions
from the staff. WATCH YOUR FINGERS!
TO LOWER
1.
Tie dinghy line to handrail (not too tightly)
2.
Remove the standoff from the dinghy side first, then the vessel side
3.
Place the standoff in the swimstep locker
4.
Securely mount the oars in the oarlocks
5.
Place the foot-pump valve in CLOSED mode
6.
Remove the spring-loaded safety pin from the top of the hoist

TIP – you can usually move the main pipe by hand to remove the pin, but you might have
to use the valve/foot-pump combo to release/create tension

8.
As dinghy lowers, watch the motor mount plate so it slides into place on the transom

them, please keep them from smashing your fingers, and the swimstep.)
14.
Lifejackets for everyone
15.
Grab the dinghy support bag from the swimstep. There’s an anchor kit, light, foot pump and repair
