Press down and slide the battery compartment cover open.
2.
Lift the battery pack out of the compartment and plug the battery pack’s
connector into the available socket (the connector fi ts only one way).
3.
Place the battery pack in the compartment and replace the cover.
To charge the battery pack, place the handset in the base facing forward. The
in use
/ LED on the base should light up.
IMPORTANT:
Be sure the battery pack is properly connected before
you try to charge it. The
in use
/ LED lights up when the handset is
on the base, even if the battery pack is not connected.
Recharge the battery pack when the handset beeps during a call and
talk
/
batt
low
indicator fl ashes.
If the phone does not work or you hear error beeps when you fi rst use the phone
after charging or recharging the battery pack, place the handset on the base to
change the digital security code.
Using a damp cloth, clean the charging contacts on the handset about once a month.
About once a month, fully discharge the battery pack by keeping the handset off the
base until
talk
/
batt
low
indicator fl ashes. Otherwise, the battery pack loses its
ability to fully recharge.
Notes:
The handset should always sit in the base charging cradle facing forward to
make good contact with base unit’s charge contacts.
If the phone does not work, recharge the battery pack. (The battery power
might be too low for the display to operate.)
If the handset beeps every 3 seconds and the
talk
/
batt low
indicator
fl ashes, recharge the battery pack.
If the battery pack is completely discharged or the base loses power while
the handset is away from it, place the handset on the base to change the
digital security code when power resumes.
