Procedure 6.1 - Replacing the Target Disk and Fan
WARNING
Always turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the treadmill before you remove the treadmill hood.
Removing the Target Disk
1.
Remove the hood.
2.
Remove the retaining ring from the motor shaft.
3.
Set aside the target disk and target label assembly.

Remove the fan from the motor shaft.
5.
Push the new fan onto the motor shaft. If you are installing a new motor on the treadmill,
push the fan onto the shaft of the new motor.

Remove the target from the fan.
7.
Remove as much of the old adhesive as possible from the flywheel. Ensure that any
remaining adhesive is firmly bonded to the mounting location.
8.
Clean the end of the flywheel with a mild detergent. Remove the detergent with a damp
cloth.
9.
Carefully position the adhesive label on the motor. Press the adhesive label firmly. Line up
the target with the adhesive, then press the target firmly.
