2. If the roof structure more than 30 years old, please specify the rafter, truss sizes and spacing, to a 

qualified engineer as engineering calculations may be required if the roof structure is non-standard.   

3. It is strongly recommend that engineering details of the PV panel mounting to the roof framing members 
be obtained prior to installation. Several well-engineered mounting systems are now available for installers 
to use. These designs often include detailed engineering specifications and details. Installers who use 
their own designs will need to provide their own details and engineering calculations with their design.       

4. The PV module is to be mounted over a fire resistant roof covering rated for the application. 

(b) If the array is ground mounted and the mounting structure is unfamiliar to the local jurisdiction and is more     

than two meters above ground, it may require engineering calculations and council approvals. 

(c) The maximum number of series and parallel modules are recommend as follows: 

   

The number of series module (N)    = Vmax system/ Voc (at STC)   

   The number of parallel module        = 1 + I ( Max. over-current rating)/ Isc( short current)

 

VII. ELECTRICAL RATINGS

 

Rated electrical characteristic are within 10 percent of the indicated values of Isc, Voc, Pmax under Standard 

Test  Conditions (irradiance of 1000W/m

2

, AM1.5 spectrum, and a cell temperature of 25°C (77°F). The
