Install the spark plug. Torque specification is 14.8 ft. lbs. If a
torque wrench is not available, a good estimate of the correct
torque is 1/4-1/2 turn past finger tight.
f)
Install the spark plug cap and left side cover and screws.
Fuel tank filter check/replacement
a)
Remove the fuel tank cap and filter.
b)
Clean the filter with gasoline.
c)
Wipe the filter and install it.
d)
Install the fuel tank cap.
Fuel filter check/replacement
a)
Remove the cover screws 1 and the left side cover 2.
b)
Slide the hose clamp 3 downward and pull the fuel hose 4 off
of the fuel filter 5.
c)
Remove the fuel filter 5 from the tank fitting 6.
d)
Clean the filter with gasoline.
e)
Dry the filter and thread the filter to the tank fitting 6 on the
bottom of the tank.
f)
Reinstall the hose and hose clamp.
g)
Install the left side cover and tighten the cover screws.
Draining the Carburetor
a)
Remove the side cover and screws.
b)
Loosen the carburetor drain screw
with a flat blade screwdriver.
c)
Drain fuel into suitable container.
d)
Tighten the carburetor drain screw.
e)
Install side cover 2 and tighten the
screws 1.
