4)
Fill with the recommended amount and type of engine oil (See
Specification section). Check oil level then install and tighten the oil filler
cap 4 .

Install the oil fill cover 2 and tighten the screw 1.
(See specification section for oil type and capacity.)
WARNING: Burn hazard
Never open oil port while engine is running. Hot oil can spray over face
and body.

Notes:
o
Low oil shutdown feature prevents the generator from starting without
sufficient oil.
o
Generator is shipped without oil. You must add oil before first use.
IMPORTANT:
Under long, continuous-run operating conditions, be prepared to:
•
Check engine oil level every time you refuel the generator.
•
Change oil after the first 20 operating hours, and at least every 100
operating hours thereafter.

Gasoline fire/explosion hazard
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. Heat, sparks, and flames can
ignite gasoline vapors, which can become widespread during fueling. A
flash fire and/or explosion could result and cause serious injury or death.
