OVERVOLTAGE
PROTECTION
DEVICE
The multiple socket is equipped with an over-
voltage protection device. The overvoltage pro-
tection device prevents the devices connected
to the multiple socket from being damaged by
overvoltage in the main supply.
Overvoltages are caused, for instance, by
indirect lighting strikes or by the activation of
other electrical appliances (monitors, ovens,
lamps, etc.).
For a correct operation, the multiple socket
should be connected to a socket with a profes-
sionally installed protective conductor.
The protection is indicated by the control light

When the control light

is on, the overvoltage
protection is active.
The control light goes off in case the overvol-
tage protection breaks down.
