Lever Action Drum Pump
ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
1. Attach the discharge hose (1) to the spout (7) and secure by sliding the hose clamp (3) over
the discharge hose securing the discharge hose to the spout.
2. In order to avoid leakage, please use sealant tape to seal the suction tubes (2 & 5) together
when assembling. Screw the suction tube into the bottom of the body (5).
3. Insert the suction tube of the assembled pump into the drum. Be sure to set the pump and
the assembled suction tube so that the suction tube is at the desired depth in the drum and is
not blocked.
OPERATION
1. Before pumping, tighten the vent cap (26).
2. With the suction tube submerged in the fluid, raise and lower the handle (6) to initiate the
suction action.
3. To stop syphoning at any time, unscrew the vent cap (26).
4. After using the pump, position the handle in the lowered position, the liquid will drain back
into the container.
5. If the pump is removed from the drum, rinse it thoroughly in a liquid that is compatible with
both the pump and the fluid being pumped.
6. Regularly check the pump and suction tubes for leaks. Leaks in the suction line or in the
pump housing will cause inefficient pumping and loss of prime.
