MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will prevent
unnecessary problems.
2. Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease at all times.
3. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4. Inspect the tool fittings periodically. Have damaged or worn components repaired or replaced by an
authorized technician.
5. Inspect the tool fittings, alignment and hoses and power supply cord and components periodically. Have
damaged or worn components repaired or replaced by an authorized technician.
6. Maintain the tool’s label and name plate. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing,
contact Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
7. Do not immerse any part of the tool in liquid. Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean the tool.
8. Avoid contact with petroleum based products including solvents, brake fluids, and gasoline. These can
damage, weaken, or destroy plastics.
9. Allow the pad to dry completely after each use.
10. Keep the tool’s air vents unclogged and clean at all times to ensure adequate cooling.
11. Remove dust and dirt regularly by wiping with a clean dry cloth.
12. Ensure that all screws are tight at regular intervals as they may loosen over time.
13. After each use, wash the bonnet by hand in cold water with a mild detergent.
14. Remove excess moisture and allow the bonnet to air dry.
15. Remove the bonnet from the tool when not in use.
CAUTION! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool.
LUBRICATION
Only use the lubricants supplied with the tool or specified by the manufacturer. Other lubricants may not be suitable
and may damage the tool or cause a malfunction during use.
CAUTION! NEVER use a penetrating oil to lubricate. Penetrating oil can act as a solvent that will break down the
grease and may cause the tool to seize up.
STORAGE
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of lubricant to the steel parts to avoid rust. Remove the
lubricant before using the tool again.
Store this tool with the pad facing upwards to retain the shape of the pad and extend its serviceable life.
DISPOSING OF TOOL
If your tool has become damaged beyond repair, do not throw it out. Bring it to the appropriate recycling facility.
