ACCESSORY INSTALLATION
1. Remove the internal packing grease from the tool before the first use. See Air Tool
Lubrication for instructions.
2. Disconnect the tool from its air source and discharge any residual air before attaching or
changing chisels or accessories.
3. Select your chisel. Make sure it is in good working condition and will not shatter or break
while in use.
4. Push the arm of the spring retainer to widen the opening so a chisel shank can be inserted
or removed. Once the chisel is seated, release pressure on the spring retainer so it will close
over the raised ridge on the chisel shank and lock it into place. You may need to rotate the
chisel shank a bit for it to lock.
5. Pull on the chisel to confirm it is locked into place.
6. Test the chisel placement by running the tool at no load for approximately 30 seconds. Point
the chisel in a safe direction in case it is ejected from the air hammer.
OPERATION
1. Ensure the regulator switch is in the neutral or OFF position.
2. Connect the tool to the air source.
3. Turn the regulator to the desired air pressure (see Specifications).
4. Firmly grip the air hammer with both hands and place the chisel against the workpiece.
5. Squeeze the trigger and slowly move along the workpiece. Do not force the air hammer; let
the tool do the work.
6. If the chisel is not performing well, turn off the tool and examine the chisel to see if it is
dull. Replace with a sharp chisel. Remember that sharp tools are safer than ones that have
become dull.
7. Once finished, disconnect the tool from its air source and discharge any residual air in the
tool before storing it.
8. Remove the chisel and the spring retainer after each use. Clean the air hammer, retainer and
chisels to make sure there is no accumulated dust or debris remaining on the tool. Reinstall
the retainer back onto the air hammer before storage.
MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will
have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn components.
3. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4. Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease at all times.
5. Inspect the tool fittings, alignment and hoses periodically. Have damaged or worn
components repaired or replaced by an authorized technician.
AIR TOOL LUBRICATION
Only use air tool oil to lubricate the tool. Other lubricants may not be suitable and could damage the
tool or cause a malfunction during use.
1. All air tools are packed in grease to prevent corrosion of internal parts during shipping and
storage. To clean this out, add a generous amount of air tool oil in the air inlet, and then run
