Encoder signals Track 'A' and 'B' (shifted 90°)
Only handwheels with A/B signals can be used. No
'Pulse/Direction' signals are supported.
When these particular inputs are used for a handwheel, the soft-
ware of the control unit will only read the value of a hardware fast
counter implemented on the 2416 EL module which is counting the
track signals. This avoids counting errors that could occur if the
software was reading the tracks directly like standard I/Os.
