DoorSign101 is available for on-wall and in-wall installations. It requires a PoE switch as LAN
interface and receives power and data via LAN cable.
4. Installation
4.1. Requirements
DoorSign101 is part of the room!MATE room management application and requires the room!MATE
Calendar software for operation. A PoE switch according to IEE 803.3af is required to supply the
DoorSign101 with power and data.
4.2. Connecting
Please read the enclosed Installation Guide carefully and follow the steps to install and connect
the DoorSign101.
4.3. Getting started
Your DoorSign101 is shipped with pre-configured parameters to make the installation as fast and
easy as possible.

When connected to a PoE switch, the boot process starts automatically and takes approximately 20
seconds. Then all parameters of the current network and system configuration are displayed for 30
seconds (Figure 1).
Finally, your DoorSign101 displays the selected template with the actual events for the meet-
ing room. If no event has been entered into the room!MATE Calendar, the template is empty
(Figure 2).
Note:
If the DoorSign101 cannot find the Calendar software in the network, an error message
is displayed on the screen. This will happen, if the room!MATE Server is switched off or if
the host name of the Server has been changed during installation. The factory setting for
the Server host name is „srv-doorsign“. Please refer to chapter 5 Configuration on how to
change the host name for the Server .
