Requirements for line installation
Unsuitable power cable
The use of unsuitable power cables or excessive
electrical currents can cause a short circuit, electric
shock, explosion, fire or burns.

The cable must have a 50-amp fuse.
e
Only use copper cables with a minimum cross-
section of 8 AWG, or preferably 6 AWG.
Requirements for installation outdoors
Direct contact with rain
If the charging equipment is used outdoors, direct
contact with rain can cause a short circuit, electric
shock, explosion, fire or burns.

Prevent the charging equipment from coming
into direct contact with rain.
e
Use a NEMA 3R rainproof enclosure.
Changing the supply cable
Electric shock
Risk of serious or fatal injury from electric shock.

Disconnect the supply cable from the electrical
socket before changing it.
e
Only change cables in a dry environment.
e
Use only cables approved by Porsche.
Refer to chapter "Scope of supply" on page 6.
In some countries, e.g. in Norway

, the supply cable
may only be changed by a qualified electrician. Por-
sche recommends that you use a certified Porsche
service partner.
