Driver Information Center (DIC)

(if equipped)

On equipped vehicles, the DIC buttons
are located on the control panel to the
right of the instrument cluster. 

E/M

(English/Metric): Switches the dis-

play between English and Metric units. 

TRIP RESET:

Use this button to reset

your trip odometer.

MODE:

Allows you to toggle through the

DIC modes, including:
• Vehicle Data
• Personalization Programming
• Compass Calibration

SELECT:

Allows you to select a DIC

mode.

RESET:

Use this button in conjunction

with other DIC features to reset system
functions.
The DIC provides information on your
vehicle’s:
• Average Fuel Economy
• Instantaneous Fuel Economy
• Fuel Range
• Fuel Used 
• Battery Volts
• GM Oil Life System 
• Tire Pressure Status 

Resetting Vehicle Data

To reset vehicle data, press the DIC
MODE button until VEHICLE DATA is
displayed. Then, press the SELECT but-
ton repeatedly until the desired vehicle
data (as shown below) appears.
Average Fuel Economy: Press and 
hold the RESET button for about five
seconds to reset.

Fuel Used: Press and hold the RESET
button for about five seconds to reset.
Oil Life: Press and hold the RESET but-
ton for about five seconds until OIL LIFE
100% is displayed. If the ENGINE OIL
CHANGE SOON message comes on
when you restart the vehicle, the system
has not reset. Repeat the procedure if
necessary.
Tire Pressure Status: This system
informs you of changes in tire pressure
and alerts you to a low or flat tire while
the vehicle is in motion only. After cor-
recting a low or flat tire condition, 

ensure

that all tires are properly inflated

and

press SELECT to display TIRE PRES-
SURE on the DIC. Press and hold the
RESET button for about five seconds
until TIRE PRESSURE RESET appears
on the display 
(if it does not appear after about five
seconds, see your dealer for service).
Release the button. The display should
read TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL.

Personalizing Vehicle Features

To begin the programming of personal-
ization features using the Driver
Information Center buttons (if equipped),
follow these steps:
1. Identify yourself as Driver 1 or 2 by

pressing the memory button on the
driver door panel or by pressing the
UNLOCK button on your Remote
Keyless Entry transmitter.

2. Turn the ignition to the ON position

and keep the gear selector lever in
the Park (P) position.

3. Press the MODE button to reach the

personalization programming display.
