21. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
The appliance does not turn
on.
No power.
Check that Polti Vaporetto
has been connected to the
mains as shown in Chapter 1.
No steam is coming out.
Out of water.
Disconnect the appliance
from the mains, fill the water
tank and wait about 15 sec-
onds, then use the appliance.
Appliance turned off.
Check that the appliance has
been disconnected from the
mains, as indicated in Sec-
tion 1.
In steam mop setting the ap-
pliance doesn’t work.
The metal tube is not proper-
ly in-serted.
Insert the metal tube into the
rectangular opening until you
hear the coupling “click”.
The appliance releases too
much water on the floor
Steam output control set to
the maximum.
Reduce the steam intensity
to the minimum. If necessary,
momentarily stop the steam
supply while continuing to
rub the surface.
The metallic tube cannot be
pulled out.
The power cord not unwound. Check that the power cord
has been unwound from the
special cord-winder hooks.
Polti Frescovapor deodoriser
is not released when using
steam.

models)
Deodoriser selector in OFF
position.
Push the selector.
Deo Dispenser door open.
Carefully close the Deo Dis-
penser door.
Check the Polti Frescovapor
level.
Fill the dispenser with Polti
Frescovapor.
Steam too damp using Polti
Frescovapor.
(only for Polti Vaporetto
SV660/650/620_STYLE
models)
The steam is mixing with Polti
Frescovapor.
Stop the Polti Frescovapor
supply as desired to reduce
the humidity of the steam.
