When the water tank is empty, the appliance will stop generating
steam and the mini-pump inside it will make slightly more noise.
All you have to do to continue working is to follow the instruc-
tions in the paragraph headed “Preparation and operation”.

For cleaning leather, wood or delicate fabrics especially dar-
lon, velvet and other pile surfaces, consult the manufactur-
ers instructions. Clean only by using the hand gun at a safe
distance together with a soft cloth and always do a test on a
non visible part of the item first or on a sample. Allow the
test area to dry completely before observing results and ef-
fects on surface or colour before proceeding to clean fur-
ther areas, ensuring that exactly the same distance and
technique are applied as for the test area. If in doubt, and on
sensitive surfaces like fabrics, leather and wood it is always
better to ask for advice from your Steam Cleaner Dealer

For cleaning wood surfaces (furniture, doors, etc..) take
great case as too long an application of the steam could al-
ter the waxed appearance, the shine or the colour of the sur-
face cleaned. We therefore recommend you apply steam on
such surfaces only for brief periods or to clean these sur-
faces using a cloth first held in steam.

Please pay particular attention while cleaning brick floors: a
too long application of steam could damage wax, brightness
or colour of these surfaces.

Delicate surfaces (e.g. synthetic materials, lacquered sur-
faces etc…) we recommend that the small brush should al-
ways be covered with at least two cloths to reduce the in-
tensity of the steam, and (on machines with steam variation
control) with the steam set at a low level.

If cleaning glass surfaces in particularly low temperatures
preheat the glass using the hand gun from about 50 cen-
timetres distance from the surface to be cleaned.

For care of your plants vaporise at a minimum distance of
50 centimetres.

If you use the appliance upright, you must wait about 25
seconds to permit the pump to supply sufficient water to the
steam generator. Hold the brush pointing upwards, press
operating button (

2

) and wait for sufficient steam to be pro-

duced.

FLOOR BRUSH (A)

To clean floor, place the brush on a clean, dry cloth, pull up the
levers (

A1

) and turn them outwards by about 90°; fold the edges

of the cloth over until they cover the holes on the top of the
brush (fig. 2); turn the levers back and click them into position to
hold the cloth in place. Work forwards and backwards over the

floor without pressing down. When one side of the cloth is dirty,
remove it, turn it over and fix it in place again.
When using on vertical washable surfaces or wallpaper and on
ceilings, cover the brush with a dry cloth and clean as on floors.
You can use your Cinderella Steam upside down (Fig. 6). If you
do, the appliance will be easier to handle if you use the special
handle (

7

) provided for this purpose.

Used on all types of synthetic or woollen fitted carpeting, laid on
floors or used as wall coverings, and on all other carpets and
rugs, CINDERELLA STEAM  guarantees maximum hygiene and
restores their original appearance, brightening their colours. Use
the brush on the surface without a cloth to lift the dirt out of the
pile, then cover the brush with a cotton cloth and go over the
surface again to pick up the dirt. If the carpeting is particularly
delicate, fold the cloth in half or in three. Clean rapidly without
pressing down on the carpeting and moving the brush forward,
back and from side to side without leaving the brush in the same
place for too long. You can repeat the process as many times as
you like without the risk of damaging the surfaces. The carpeting
will dry almost immediately. If the carpeting is particularly dirty
or saturated with detergent products, do not try too hard to get
perfect results the first time: results will be evident only after
CINDERELLA STEAM has been used several times. We advice
you to use towelling as cleaning cloth (e.g. old towels).

SQUEEGEE (B)

The squeegee will permit you to effectively and rapidly clean all
glazed surfaces without detergents. Your windows will remain
clean longer because they will not have the film normally left by
traditional window cleaning products, to which dust and greasy
steam adhere.
Clean windows in 2 phases:

apply steam over the surface to be cleaned to loosen the
dirt.

pass the squeegee over the surface, without using steam,
to pick up the dirt.

When cleaning glazed surfaces during particularly cold weather,
pre-heat the glass by holding the steam pistol at a distance of
about 50 cm from the surface.
You can use your Cinderella Steam upside down (Fig. 6). If you
do, the appliance will be easier to handle if you use the special
handle (

7

) provided for this purpose.

ROUND BRUSH (D)

The round brush is sloped to permit you to direct the steam jet
at the most hidden spots which are difficult to reach with the
steam pistol.
It can be used to clean the dirt which collects between tiles or re-
move stubborn stains from floors, rugs and carpets, making it a
very useful and irreplaceable accessory.
To  remove stubborn stains, use the round brush to clean the
stain and then rub vigorously with the cloth.

When you finish using the round brush, allow the bristles
to cool in their natural position to prevent them from
drying out of shape.

To clean the body of the appliance, simply use a moist cloth.
All water contains magnesium and mineral salts which lead to a
build-up of scale. After using the appliance several times, it is ad-
visable to remove the mineral residues as follows:

Disconnect the power cable from the power socket. Allow
the appliance to cool down completely. NEVER CLEAN IT
WITH THE POWER CABLE CONNECTED TO THE POWER
SOCKET OR WHILE THE APPLIANCE IS STILL HOT.

When the appliance is cold, pull the locking button (9b) to-
