Taking a Picture in Shutter Priority ( ) Mode
1. Turn the Mode Dial to

2. Set the camera to mode. Please refer to
pages 40 and 41 for more details.
3. Use the left and right buttons to adjust the
shutter speed.
4. Capture procedures are the same as for taking
a picture in the Auto mode. Please refer to
“Taking a Picture in Auto Mode” on page 26
for more details.
Shutter Speed
NOTE:
• Make sure to use slow shutter speeds when the environment is too dark.
• When the Shutter button is halfway pressed to let the camera set exposure,
if the shooting environment is too dark or too bright, a negative or positive
figure will appear on the LCD screen, indicating the exposure is excessive or
insufficient. Release the Shutter button and adjust the shutter speed and/or
aperture value. Recompose the scene and press the Shutter button to reset
the exposure.
To avoid blurry pictures, place the camera on a flat, steady surface or
use a tripod. We recommend the user to use a tripod to keep the camera
steady for slow shutter speeds.
