• Setting Flash Mode
1. Turn the Mode Dial to

2. Press the Flash button to cycle through
the flash settings and select the one you
need.
When you press the Flash button, the icon
(according to the flash setting you selected)
will appear on the LCD screen. You can now
take pictures using the Flash mode you
selected.
Flash Range:
• Wide: up to 9.8 ft (3 m)
• Telephoto: up to 6.5 ft (2 m)
The camera has seven flash modes (default setting is Auto). Use the
flash when you take pictures at night, indoors, or outdoors in heavy
shadows.

NOTE:
• This setting is also available in
mode.
• Flash modes are not available in Playback and Video modes.
• Never touch or block the flash with your fingers. Doing so can soil these
components and interfere with the correct flash operation.
• In the Macro mode, the flash is only available in Auto Flash, Flash On and
Flash Off modes.
