c) Securing the Mounting Plate

  On the mounting plate

(5)

, make sure the arrow is facing up.

Do not over tighten screws as this may damage the mounting plate

(5)

.

d) Connecting Power Supply Leads

•

Remove the outer insulation of the mains cable to a length of maximum 16 mm. Then remove the insulation

of the 2 wires over a length of approximately 6 mm.

•

Over tightening screws may damage the plastic case.

•

Check that the rubber gasket around the power supply lead forms a good seal. This will help prevent moisture

from entering the cable inlet.

•

Make sure that cables are not squeezed, bent or damaged in any other way. Do not exert any force when

installing the product.

•

When connecting power supply leads, match colours as indicated. Brown (L), Blue (N), Length of stripped

wire must not be greater than 8mm.

•

Make sure that the cables are not bare for too long as this may cause short-circuiting.

•

Make sure that all screw connections on both sides of the terminal block are tight.

e) Replace Cover

•

Slide the cover release tab

(6)

into the slot on the cover.

•

Secure cover to base plate using the retaining screw

(4)

.

f) Switch Electricity Supply ON

•

Turn the corresponding circuit breaker and/or automatic fuse back ON.

  If the LED

(3)

does not light up, turn OFF power to the circuit immediately (turn OFF circuit breaker and/or

automatic fuse). Then check the connection to the power circuit.

PIR Sensor

PIR (passive infrared) detectors are generally more sensitive in cold and dry weather than warm and humid weather. The

sensor detects movement by sensing infrared radiation.

You will need a suitably sized slotted screwdriver to adjust the PIR adjustment dials

(1)

. Using excessive force

to adjust the dials may cause damage.

TIME

LUX

•

Adjust the motion sensor so that it faces the area where motion is most likely to be detected.

•

Experiment with different angles to match your desired coverage area.

•

Test the coverage area by slowly walking around the sensor to determine where the sensor gets triggered.

a) Adjust Duration Time

•

Set the LED

(3)

switch-off time (10 seconds - 4 minutes) by adjusting the dial marked

TIME

.

•

Rotating

TIME

 from (

+

) to (

-

) will reduce the duration time.

•

Once the LED

(3)

has been triggered by the PIR sensor

(4)

any subsequent detection will start the timed period again from

the beginning.

b) Adjusting the LUX Control Level

The Lux control module has a built-in sensing device (photocell) that detects daylight and darkness. The daylight ( ) position

means that the LED

(3)

can activate during the day and night, but the night ( ) position will only activate the LED

(3)

 at night.

•

If you require the LED

(3)

to switch on earlier, e. g. Dusk, wait for the desired light level, then slowly turn the

LUX

 control

dial towards daylight ( ) while someone walks across the center of the area to be detected. You can set these levels by

adjusting the

LUX

 dial (min. 10 Lux).

•

If you adjust the sensor during daylight, set the LUX dial to daylight ( ).

•

For convenience during testing, set the on-time to a small value.

•

Direct the sensor toward the desired area to be scanned by tilting the sensor

(2)

.

•

Have a person walk across the center of the area to be scanned while you slowly adjust the angle of the sensor so that the

unit detects the presence of the moving person, causing the LED

(3)

 to switch on.

•

When the LED

(3)

 switches on, stop adjusting the

LUX

 control knob.

•

You may need to make further adjustments to achieve your ideal light level setting.

Care and Cleaning

•

Disconnect the product from the mains before each cleaning.

•

Let the product cool down before cleaning.

•

Never point a water jet at the lamp e.g. high-pressure cleaning equipment.

•

Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause damage to the

housing and malfunctioning.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste. At the end of its

service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.

You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
