Operation
• Lift the lamp head with glass cover (1) out of the rectangular metal housing (3) to remove it.
The LED and solar unit are located in the lamp head. The glass cover of the lamp
head cannot be removed.
• The
ON
/
OFF
switch and the battery compartment (2) are now visible.
• Set the on/off switch to
ON
in order to charge the battery with sunlight. If the on/off switch is
at
OFF
, the battery is not charged.
• Insert the lamp head into the metal housing.
• If the ground spike (5) is delivered inside the metal housing, pull down the ground spike
holder (4) out of the metal housing.
• Then pull the ground spike from the holder and insert it on the opposite side.
• Insert the ground spike holder back in the metal housing. The tip of the ground spike must
face outward.
Setup location
•
Insert the ground spike into an even and sufficiently resistant surface (e.g. lawn or bed). A
stony surface can damage the ground spike. Make sure that the ground spike is firm in the
ground and cannot topple over.
• For the battery to charge effectively, the solar module must be placed so that the lamp head
is exposed for as long as possible to direct sunlight. Ensure that the lamp is not covered or
shaded.
• Do not place the product next to other light sources, e.g. patio or street lights, as this may
prevent the product from turning on automatically in the dark.
• The product is suitable for use in unprotected outdoor areas. However, the product must
never be used in or under water.
•
The light automatically turns on at dusk (approx. 50 - 200 lux). As soon as a certain brightness
is reached (approx. 150 - 300 lux), the lamp turns off.
• If the light should not turn on automatically, set the
ON
/
OFF
switch (2) to
OFF
.
Make sure that the switch is set to
ON
to allow the battery to charge with sunlight
during the day.
