b) Product
• Never remove the lighting unit from the base plate. The lighting unit contains the
LED and the solar module.
• Handle the lighting unit carefully to avoid breaking the glass and injuring yourself.
• Do not over-tighten the screws. This may damage the threads and reduce the
strength of the fitting.
• Place the product in a location where nobody can trip over it, as this may cause
an injury.
• The LED bulb is built into the product and cannot be replaced.
c) Rechargeable battery
• Ensure that the rechargeable battery is inserted in the correct polarity.
• To prevent battery leakage, remove the battery when you do not plan to use the
product for an extended period. Leaking or damaged batteries may cause acid
burns when they come into contact with skin. Always use suitable protective
gloves when handling damaged batteries.
• Keep the rechargeable battery out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries
lying around, as there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.
•
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never
recharge non-rechargeable batteries, as this may cause an explosion.

Operation
Fully charge the rechargeable battery prior to first time use. Charging takes approx. 8 hours
with direct sunlight.
• Place the lamp upside down on a soft surface.
• Use the
OFF ON
switch (4) on the battery compartment (5) to turn the lamp on and off.
ON
position: When on, the LED will be activated or deactivated automatically depending on
ambient brightness. If the ambient brightness is sufficient, the rechargeable battery will be
recharged via the solar module.
OFF
position: The lamp is turned off. Switch off the lamp when not using it for a longer period
of time. When at this switch position, the rechargeable battery will not be charged.
• Select an appropriate installation location (read the information in "Installation location").
Installation location
• Place the product in a location with good access to light so that the solar panel can charge
the battery. Ensure that the solar panel is not covered or shaded, e.g. by trees or buildings.
• The more sunlight that shines on the solar panel, the more the battery will charge. Do not
place the product next to other light sources, e.g. patio or street lights, as this may prevent
the product from turning on automatically in the dark.
Important notes
• The power of the solar panel varies according to the time of year and depends on the duration
and strength of the sunlight. Long periods without sufficient sunlight (especially in winter) may
lead to a shorter battery life (the rechargeable battery stores less energy during the day than
it consumes at night). This may damage the battery as a result of it becoming completely
discharged. To avoid damaging the battery, turn the lamp off during extended periods without
sufficient sunlight (move the on/off switch to the
OFF
position).
•
Keep the lighting unit clean. Dust and dirt reduce the efficiency of the solar panel, resulting
in a lower charging current.
•
Cold temperatures have a negative impact on the battery life (the light stays on for a shorter
period at night). To prolong the lifespan of the product, store it in a dry, warm room during the
winter (or when you are not going to use it for an extended period). Turn the product off before
putting it away (move the switch to the
OFF
position).
• You can charge the battery with a battery charger before inserting it into the product. Always
follow the instructions in this manual when removing/replacing the rechargeable battery.

This product is designed for use as an outdoor lamp (e.g in gardens). The lamp turns on
automatically in the dark. The built-in battery charges automatically when there is sufficient
light.
The product is splash-proof and therefore suitable for outdoor use (IP44).
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuits or fire. Read the instructions carefully
and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only together with
its operating instructions.
