User Operation
While measuring a patient, several error messages may occur on the screen during or
at the end of acquisition. Please follow the table below for guidance on how to correct
for each error when re-attempting measurement.
Error Message
How to Correct
“Eye not well aligned. Ensure eye is centered during
measurement.”
Make sure the eye is centered (measurement circle
is green) during measurement. Translate the device
up/down or adjust the IPD to help patient center
eye(s).
“Too much accommodation. Ensure patient focuses
on distant target.”
It may be tempting for the subject to focus on the
red dot or a close by object. Ask the patient to look
past the red dot at an object 6 meters (20 feet)
away during next measurement.
“Outside measurement range (< -10D SE)”
or
“Outside measurement range (> +10D SE)”
Patient may be outside the measurement range
of the QuickSee. Make sure the eyepiece is fully
contacting the patient’s face and that patient
is not focusing on too near of an object before
re-measuring.
“Pupil was too small. Reduce ambient light.”
Have patient move to a place with dimmer lighting
and also look at a distant object which is not as
bright.
