This section will describe the Distributor Ignition (DI) System used on the 5.0L and the 5.7L engines. The DI system
uses a single ignition coil and a mechanical distributor. The section explains the individual components of the Distributor
Ignition System. Electronic Ignition System is explained in Section 4B.
