3.6.4.2 Static Route
This page is used to configure the routing information. Here you can add / delete IP routes.
Click
“Enable”
to enable the Static Routing function, you can query the preset static routes,
delete an existing static route, or add a new static route. By default, the system has no
static route information.
Destination:
The IP address where packets will go to.
Subnet Mask:
The subnet mask of the destination IP address.
Next Hop:
The gateway that the packets will pass by during transmission.
Metric:
Metric represents the “cost” of transmission for routing purposes. IP Routing uses
hop count as the measurement of cost, with a minimum of 1 for directly connected networks.
Enter a number that approximates the cost for this link. The number need not to be precise,
but it must between 1 and 15. In practice, 2 or 3 is usually a good number.
Interface:
The interface that the packets pass through on the device.
Click
“Add Route”
to add this routing information.
