SYMPTOM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
Low rate of fire / rate of fire not
reaching the ROF cap.
The force setting of the loader is too low.
Adjust the loader force feed setting.
The breech sensor has detected a fault
and reduced the ROF.
Check the position and condition of the breech sensors.
Clean or replace the breech sensors as required.
The marker is breaking paintballs
in the barrel or breech.
The ball detents are damaged or missing.
Replace the ball detents.
The force setting of the loader is too high.
Reduce the loader force feed setting.
The paint is poor quality.
Try a higher grade of paint.
The breech sensor is switched off.
Switch on the breech sensor.
The bolt and/or breech sensor is dirty
Clean the bolt and breech sensor.
The velocity is set too high.
Check and adjust the velocity of the 170R.
The paint is too big for the barrel bore size.
Invest in a range of barrels with different bore sizes.
The 170R does not fire.
The 170R is not powered up.
Power up the 170R using the Select button on the
back of the 170R grip frame.
The POPS is not fully engaged.
Push the POPS bonnet in until it engages.
The battery quality or charge level is very low.
Install new high quality alkaline or lithium battery.
The battery is flat.
Replace the battery.
The DWELL parameter is set too low.
Increase the DWELL parameter.
The trigger is set-up incorrectly.
Adjust trigger correctly to fully open and close the microswitch.
The solenoid is not plugged into the 170R PCB.
Plug solenoid wire into its port on the 170R PCB.
The breech sensor is enabled but there is
no paint in the breech.
Fill the loader with paint.
The PCB is damaged.
Replace PCB.
The solenoid valve is damaged.
Replace solenoid valve.
