Selecting the Ink Type
The Ink Type menu allows you to select the ink type, change the name of the ink cartridge, and increase
voltage for a cartridge.
Note:
Only authorized ink cartridges will be recognized by the printer. An empty cartridge holder or
invalid or unprogrammed ink cartridge displays as “-----------”. An ink cartridge that is programmed, but
not recognized by this printer, displays as “???????”.
To select or change the ink type:
1. Tap
Printer Setup
on the Main Menu.
2. Tap
Ink Type
. The
Select Ink Type
screen opens, showing the recognized ink cartridge installed
in each cartridge holder.
3. To select a particular ink cartridge, tap on it.
4. To change the name of the ink cartridge:
a. Tap the
Edit
(paper/pencil) icon next to the cartridge. The Edit Ink Type screen opens.
b. Tap in the
Title
field and enter the desired name.
