1 1 Howling or screeching noise
when burners are on.
Main burner flames are
yellow.
SECTION 2S TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
Gas pressure too high. Adjust pressure regulator.
Loosen burner mounting
screws and line up burners.

Burner flames will not enter
heat tubes.
Dirt or burr on burner orifice. Clean orifice or replace.
Defective Unitrol.
Clogged vent cap on Unitrol.
Orifices are too large.
2 Main burners dirty.
Improper gas pressure.

Improper air collar adjustment
Main burners will not shut
off automatically.

Replace Unitrol.
Remove and clean cap.

Call factory to learn proper
sizes.
Remove burners and clean.
On natural gas adjust Unitrol
pressure regulator to 4.0" w.c
operating pressure. On
propane gas have gas supplier
adjust tank pressure to provide
10.0" w.c. operating pressure
at the fryer. (See Orifice and
Burner pressure chart) 3
Gas pressure too high/low.
Burners out of alignment.
a. Turn Vent on.
Orifices may be incorrect size. Call factory to learn proper
sizes.
Protect flue opening from
downdrafts, breezes or air
flows from blowers. Downdraft on fryer flue
opening, or vent not turned on.
Remove and clean cap.
On natural gas adjust Unitrol
pressure regulator to 4.0" w.c
operating pressure. On
propane gas have gas supplier
adjust tank pressure to provide
10.0" w.c. operating pressure
at the fryer. (See Orifice and
Burner pressure chart)
