5. DIAGNOSIS
5.1 TROUBLESHOOTING
[1] Power failure
Symptom: S W ITCHI N G PO W ER is fault.
Diagnostic procedure:
1. Check if S W ITCHI N G PO W ER C N 1: AC 100 V to AC 240 V is normal.
2. Check S W ITCHI N G PO W ER C N 3:
V 1
→
+7 V , V 2
→
ST5 V , V 3
→
+15 V , V 4
→
-15 V , V 5
→
6 V .
3. Check waveform for S W ITCHI N G PO W ER, confirm it is correct.
S W ITCHI N G PO W ER C2 8 positive to ground is +7 V figure ( W aveform ).
S W ITCHI N G PO W ER C47 positive to ground is ST5 V figure ( W aveform ).
S W ITCHI N G PO W ER C31 positive to ground is +15 V figure ( W aveform ).
S W ITCHI N G PO W ER C24 negative to ground is -15 V figure ( W aveform ).
S W ITCHI N G PO W ER C21 positive to ground is +6 V figure ( W aveform ).
4. If W aveform is abnormal, you could change it.
[2] VFD dose not light
Symptom: V FD module is fault, it is no light-emitting.
Diagnostic procedure:
1. Check waveform for V FD module, you confirm it is correct.
Check CD Assy C112 positive to ground is +Ef figure ( W aveform ).
Check CD Assy C112 negative to ground is -Ef figure ( W aveform ).
Check CD Assy C103 positive to ground is V H figure ( W aveform ).
2. If W aveform is abnormal, you could change it.
[3] LED dose not light
Symptom: LED part is fault, it is no light-emitting.
Diagnostic procedure:
1. Check waveform for LED, you confirm it is correct.
2. It is tested at CD Assy Q102 to Q105 pin C (CH1).
It is tested at CD Assy Q106 to Q112 pin C (CH2).
W aveform for LED O N is figure ( W aveform ).
W aveform for LED OFF is figure ( W aveform ).
3. If W aveform is abnormal, you could change it.
[4-1] No key functions
Symptom: N o key function.
Diagnostic procedure:
1. Check waveform for KEY, you confirm it is correct.
W aveform for KEY OFF is figure ( W aveform )(CH1
→
KEY pin 1/CH2
→
KEY pin 2).
W aveform for KEY O N is figure ( W aveform )(CH1
→
KEY pin 1/CH2
→
KEY pin 2).
2. If W aveform is abnormal, you could change it.
[4-2] Rotary selector not controllable
Symptom: Rotary selector of encoder switch is fault.
Diagnostic procedure:
1. Check waveform for rotary encoder, you confirm it is correct.
W aveform for rotary encoder is figure ( W aveform )(CH1
→
encoder pin 1/CH2
→
encoder pin 3).
2. If W aveform is abnormal, you could change it.
[4-3] Slider volume not controllable
Symptom: Crossfader and channel-fader V R is fault.
Diagnostic procedure:
1. Check waveform for V R, you confirm it is correct.
C 8 02 (CROSSFADER), C 8 07 (CH1 FADER), C 8 06 (CH2 FADER) that positive to ground is V R out.
W aveform for min V R out is figure ( W aveform ).
W aveform for max V R out is figure ( W aveform ).
2. If W aveform is abnormal, you could change it.
