Analog audio cables
Use ste r eo RCA p hono cables to connect
analog audio com p onents. These cables a r e
ty p ically r ed and white, and you should
connect the r ed p lugs to R ( r ight) te r minals
and white p lugs to L (left) te r minals.
Digital audio cables
Comme r cially available coaxial digital audio
cables o r o p tical cables should be used to
connect digital com p onents to this r eceive r .

Video cables
Standard RCA video cables
These cables a r e the most common ty p e of
video connection and should be used to
connect to the com
p osite video te r minals. They
have yellow p lugs to distinguish them f r om
cables fo r audio.
Component video cables
Use com p onent video cables to get the best
p ossible colo r r e pr oduction of you r video
sou r ce. The colo r signal of the TV is divided into
the luminance (
Y
) signal and the colo r (
P
B
and
P
R
) signals and then out p ut. In this way,
inte r fe r ence between the signals is avoided.
About video outputs connection
This r eceive r is not loaded with a video
conve r te r . When you use com p onent video
cables o r HDMI cables fo r connecting to the
in p ut device, the same cables should be used
fo r connecting to the TV.

1 • When connecting o p tical cables, be ca r eful when inse r ting the p lug not to damage the shutte r pr otecting the o p tical socket.
• When sto r ing o p tical cable, coil loosely. The cable may be damaged if bent a r ound sha rp co r ne r s.
• You can also use a standa r d RCA video cable fo r coaxial digital connections.
