The System Setup menu
Using the System Setup menu
The following section shows you how to make
detailed settings to s
p ecify how you’ r e using
the r eceive r . It also ex p lains how to fine-tune
individual s p eake r system settings.
1 Press RECEIVER on the remote control,
then press the SETUP button.
2 Use
/
to select the setting you want to
adjust then press ENTER
.
•
SP SETUP
– S p ecify the size, numbe r ,
distance and ove r all balance of the
s p eake r s you’ve connected (see Manual
s p eaker setu p below).
•
IN ASSIG
– S p ecify what you’ve connected
to the com p onent video in p uts (see The
In p ut Assign menu on p age 35).
Manual speaker setup
These setting o p timize su rr ound sound
p e r fo r mance. You only need to make these
settings once (unless you change the
p lacement of you r cu rr ent s p eake r system o r
add new s p eake r s).
1 Select SP SETUP from the System Setup
menu.
2 Use
/
to select the setting you want
to adjust then press ENTER.
•
SP SET
– S p ecify size / numbe r of s p eake r s
connected (see S p eaker setting below).
•
X.OVER
– S p ecify which f r equencies will
be sent to the subwoofe r (see Crossover
network on p age 34).
•
CH LEVEL
– Adjust ove r all balance of you r
s p eake r system (see Channel level on
p age 34).
•
SP DISTN
– S p ecify the distance of you r
s p eake r s f r om the listening p osition (see
S p eaker Distance on p age 35).
3 Press RETURN after making the
adjustments necessary for each setting.
Speaker setting
Use this setting to s p ecify you r s p eake r
configu r ation (size, numbe r of s p eake r s).
1 Select SP SET from the SP SETUP menu.
2 Use
/
to choose the speaker(s) that
you want to set then select a speaker size.
Use
/
to select the size (and numbe r ) of
each of the following s p eake r s:
•
Front
(
F
) – Select
LARGE
if you r f r ont
s p eake r s r e pr oduce bass f r equencies
effectively, o r if you didn’t connect a
subwoofe r . Select
SMALL
to send the
bass f r equencies to the subwoofe r .
