PRECAUTIONS
•
Installation requires drilling holes into the vehicle bumper, which must be non-metal.
•
Vehicle must be powered off during product installation.
•
Make sure engine parts such as the exhaust pipe are not hot before installation.
•
The sensors must be positioned correctly in order to function properly.
•
Do not install the control box in or near the vent pipe or wiring.
•
Do not route wires where they will be exposed to high temperatures. If the insulation heats up, the
wires may become damaged, resulting in a short circuit or malfunction and permanent damage to the
product.
•
If the control box is installed in the passenger compartment, anchor it securely so it does not break free
while the car is moving and cause injury or accident.
•
Secure all wiring with cable clamps or electrical tape. Do not allow any bare wiring to remain exposed.
•
Make sure that the cables and wires will not interfere with or become caught in any of the vehicle’s
moving parts, especially the brake, doors, or any of the vehicle’s controls.
•
If the wiring of this unit is located under the front seat, make sure it does not obstruct seat movement.
Route all leads and cords carefully around the sliding mechanism so they do not get caught or pinched
in the mechanism and cause a short circuit.
•
When mounting this product, make sure none of the leads are trapped between this unit and the
surrounding metalwork of fittings.
