Using the tuner
Listening to the radio
The following ste p s show you how to tune in to
FM and AM r adio b r oadcasts.
1 Press TUNER then press BAND to select
the tuner band.
2 Tune to a station.
The r e a r e fou r ways to do this:
Automatic tuning – P r ess and hold

fo r about a second. Sea r ching
automatically sto p s at the next station.
Manual tuning
– To change the f r equency
one ste p at a time, pr ess

If the

indicato r s don’t light
when tuning to an FM station because the
signal is weak,
pr ess the
MPX
button to switch
the r eceive r into mono r ece p tion mode. This
should im pr ove the sound quality and allow
you to enjoy the b r oadcast.
Saving station presets
This r eceive r can memo r ize u p to 30 stations,
sto r ed in th r ee banks of 10 stations each.

1 Tune to a station you want to memorize
then press T.EDIT.
The dis p lay shows
ST. MEMORY
, then a
blinking memo r y class.
2 Press CLASS to select one of the three
classes then press
/
to select the station
preset you want.
3 Press ENTER to store the station.
Naming station presets
You can name you r station pr esets fo r easy
r ecall.
1 Choose the preset you want to name.
See Listening to station presets below.
2 Press T.EDIT.

3 Input the name you want then press ENTER.
Names can be u p to fou r cha r acte r s long.
• Use the

buttons to select
cha r acte r s, and ENTER to confi r m. If no
cha r acte r is in p ut, a s p ace is in p ut.
Tip
• Once you have named a station pr eset, you
can pr ess DISPLAY when listening to a
station to switch the dis p lay between the
name and the f r equency.

1 If you make a mistake halfway th r ough, pr ess D.ACCESS twice to cancel the f r equency and sta r t ove r .
2 When saving an FM f r equency, the MPX setting is also sto r ed.
