Setting the Audio/Video options
Changing the Audio options
There are a number of additional sound settings you can
make using the Audio Parameter menu.
Operating the Audio
Parameter screen

Press AUDIO P. to display the Audio Parameter
screen.

• It is not possible to open the Audio Parameter screen when any of the
Home Menu

• It is not possible to open the Audio Parameter screen while 3D contents are being played back.
• When DIRECT function is On, the Audio Parameter setting will not work.
• In Options, the factory default settings are indicated in bold.

, 20- and 24-bit PCM as well as compressed audio is requantized to 32 bits, and
the high frequency component is interpolated upon data processing to enable

Switches the AUDIO DAC (Digital Audio Converter) digital filter type. One of two
settings can be selected:

With the Auto Sound Retriever function, DSP processing is used to compensate
for the loss of audio data upon compression, improving the sound’s sense of
density and modulation.

The player automatically adjusts the timing of the video and audio when
connected to a device equipped with the HDMI Audio Sync Correction feature
using an HDMI cable.

Some monitors have a slight delay when showing video, so the soundtrack will
be slightly out of sync with the picture. By adding a bit of delay, you can adjust
the sound to match the presentation of the video.
