USING YOUR APPLIANCE

Installing the gas bottle:

1.  Put the 

cylinder 

into the gas 

heater then 

install the 

protection 

baffle to 

make sure 

the cylinder 

is not 

displaced 

when it is moved from room to room. 

2.  Connect the pipe to the gas valve with the 

cap (make sure there is no leakage). 

3.  Connect another side of the pipe to the 

regulator with the cap (make sure there is 

no leakage). 

4.  Before using the heater, open the gas 

valve, and close it after you are finished. 

Press the “SWING” BUTTON to distribute 

heat evenly around the room.

Lighting the heater:

1.  Open the gas cylinder by turning the gas 

cylinder valve anticlockwise.

2.  Turn the gas control knob on the heater to 

setting 1.

3.  Press the control knob down and hold in 

the pressed condition. 

This will allow gas to flow to the pilot and 

centre burner.

4.  While holding the control knob in the 

pressed position push the piezoelectric 

ignition button 2 or 3 times. Each time 

you strike this piezoelectric ignition you 

will hear a clicking sound as well as see a 

spark on the pilot burner.

5.  Once the pilot has lit, continue holding the 

gas control knob in the pressed position 

for a further 10 to 15 seconds thus 

activating the flame failure safety device.

6.  The pilot and centre burner should remain 

alight.

7.  You may now adjust the heater setting to 

Low/Med/High as required.

Turning off the heater:

1.  To turn off the heater, 

turn the control knob 

to position 1 and 

close the gas cylinder 

valve by turning the 

knob on the cylinder clockwise.

2.  Ensure that the pilot flame in the centre 

burner is extinguished.

Fitting the Irish Regulator:

1.  Ensure that the flame marked on the 

switch is not showing when connecting 

and disconnecting.

2.  Use one hand to pull up the black safety 

release around the base of the regulator, 

and push the regulator on to the top of 

the gas bottle with your other hand. 

3.  Release the safety and flip the switch on 

top of the regulator, so the flame symbol is 

showing. When this is done correctly you 

will hear it pressurise.

Regulators:

1.  The type of regulator that is used is 

dependant on the connection on the 

gas bottle used. This may be dependant 

on gas supplier and your geographical 

location.

2.  If you are unsure which type of regulator 

you will need seek advice from your gas 

supplier. Please see opposite.

Removing the Regulator:

1.  Check that the temperature control is set 

to ‘0’.
