The FreeCom 3000 aviation headset is supplied with generic ear shells for immediate use.
The purchase of this headset also entitles you to one (either left or right) custom ear mold
(excluding the cost of having this ear impression made). The use of this custom mold will bring
even greater wearing comfort.
The following information in this User Guide is based on the use of FreeCom 3000 with its
custom ear mold. To fit the supplied generic ear shell please refer to the “User Guide for
Assembly” document supplied with your headset.
FreeCom 3000 is ultra-lightweight and allows reliable and clear communication, even in noisy
environments.
The FreeCom 3000 system consists of an ear mold (either left or right ear). This ear mold is
a hollow shell manufactured from clinical nylon and offers an unsurpassed level of comfort.
This mold is also long lasting, due to its outstanding resistance to chemical, mechanical and
thermal effects.
An earJack
TM
adapter, which contains the ear speaker and the boom microphone, simply clicks
into the ear mold. A cable then runs to a Quick Disconnect (QD) connector, which is in turn
plugged into a FreeCom Adapter (sold separately), allowing you to connect your FreeCom 3000
to your aircraft’s audio panel.
