4  Installation 

4.1 

TwinCAT 

To install TwinCAT: 

1. 

Use TwinCAT V2 current version. 

2. 

Download TwinCAT from 

www.beckhoff.de

. 

3. 

Install TwinCAT. You can use the default settings of installation program. 

 

4.2 

Installing the device description file 

1. 

Copy the  device description file 

PHOENIX CONTACT_AXL_E.xml

  into the folder 

TwinCAT\Io\EtherCAT.

2. 

Restart TwinCAT. 

  TwinCAT reads the XML files and updates the device list.
