Connection To a Satellite Tuner (Simple Connections)

ONNECTIONS
This is an example of simple connection if you
don’t have a decoder.
Connect the satellite tuner to the VCR’s AV2
(L-2)IN/DECODER connector, then connect the
VCR’s AV1 (L-1)IN/OUT connector to the TV’s
21-pin SCART connector.
NOTES:
• Set “A/V2 SELECT” to “A/V”.
• You can use Automatic Satellite Programme Recording
function (

P.28) with this connection.
• To record a programme via the satellite tuner, select L-2
mode by pressing Number button “0” and/or CH

Connection To a Satellite Tuner (Perfect Connections)
This is an example of recommended connection
if you have both satellite tuner and decoder.
Connect the decoder to the satellite tuner’s
connector, AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT connector to TV’s
connector, and AV2 (L-2) IN/DECODER connector
to the satellite tuner’s connector. Then connect the
satellite tuner and TV.

IMPORTANT
When you set “A/V2 SELECT” to “SAT”
(
✈
P.27), it is possible to view a satellite broadcast
with the TV set to its AV mode even if the VCR is
turned off. When the VCR is in Stop mode or
recording, press VCR/TV on the remote control to
turn off the VCR indicator on the display window.
If you turn on the VCR when the satellite tuner’s
power is off, nothing appears on the TV.
In this
case, turn on the satellite tuner, or set the TV to its
TV mode, or press VCR/TV to light the VCR
indicator.
