1. GENERAL INFORMATION
These installation instructions cover the following types of paging
receivers:
These high quality, lightweight Generation III paging receivers are
used in DP 6000 Digital Paging Systems.
The receivers are individually identified by the allocation of call
numbers, which are programmed into the receiver. Each receiver
will respond to calls made specifically to its own call number or to
group calls. A group call is a single call which can be received by
more than one receiver holder.
When placed in a storage rack and being called, the receiver returns
an absent signal to the DP 6000 system.
The versions of the receiver described in these installation
instructions are:
-
the bleep only version producing a bleep and flash signal when it
is called.
-
the display version producing both a bleep plus a flash signal and
digital information on the LCD.
Before using the receiver, it has to be programmed with the
necessary addresses and set to the system configuration.
The receiver can be programmed using the keyboard of the Control
Desk LBB 5800, Telephone Coupler LBB 5840/xx and the LBB 6000
Alpha-desk user editor (edit menu receives).
