You can enable/disable SpO
2
monitoring at the Information Center. See
“Patient Configurable Settings in Telemetry Setup” on page 9-6.
When SpO
2
is enabled, the Patient Sector and Patient Window of the
Information Center display a “T” next to the SpO
2
numeric (for example,
“SpO
2
T 90%”) to indicate that the measurement was made via telemetry.

Information
Center
The SpO
2
parameter is automatically enabled at the IntelliVue Information
Center if a manual SpO
2
measurement is initiated at the transceiver while in
Spot Check mode or if the SpO
2
sensor is inserted into the transceiver while the
transceiver is in Continuous SpO
2
mode.
When a patient is discharged and the transceiver is in Continuous mode, the
SpO
2
parameter is disabled. To reactivate the SpO
2
parameter Auto ON feature
from the transceiver, remember to do one of the following when a patient is
discharged:
–
remove the SpO
2
cable from the transceiver, wait 15 seconds, then
reinsert the cable
or
–
if using TeleMon, reset the transceiver to Manual mode.
Note—
The SpO
2
parameter Auto ON feature only needs to be reactivated when
the transceiver is in Continuous mode at discharge.
Note—
SpO
2
can always be enabled/disabled at the IntelliVue Information
Center.
