Pretrimming with the shaving head and comb attachment
before epilation
Use the shaving head and comb attachment to trim your bikini line to a hair length of
4mm. You can also use the trimming comb to pretrim long hairs (longer than 10mm).
Note: The shaving head can only be used at speed setting I.

Push the epilating head in the direction of the arrows on the back of the
appliance (1) and remove it from the appliance (2) (Fig. 14).

Put the shaving head on the appliance (1) and push it against the direction of the
arrows on the back of the appliance (2) to fix it (Fig. 15).

Put the comb on the shaving head (Fig. 20).

Follow steps 3 to 6 in section ‘Shaving the underarms and bikini line’. To obtain
an even result, make sure that the comb attachment stays fully in contact with
the skin.
Note: Do not place the appliance on the skin too steeply.

When you have finished pretrimming, switch off the appliance and clean the
shaving head (see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’).

Put the protection cap on the shaving head when you store the appliance.
Using the exfoliation glove
Use the exfoliation glove in the shower once or twice a week to prevent ingrown hairs
and to get a fresh and smooth skin. Make circular movements with the exfoliation glove
from your ankle to your knee.
Note: Do not use the exfoliation glove within 24 hours before or after epilation.
Cleaning and maintenance
Note: Make sure the appliance is switched off and unplugged before you start to clean it.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol
or acetone to clean the appliance.

Never rinse the appliance or the adapter under the tap (Fig. 21).

Keep the appliance and the adapter dry (Fig. 22).
Cleaning the cooling glove

Remove the ice gel pad from the cooling glove.

Clean the cooling glove with a moist cloth after each use.
Note: Make sure the outside of the ice gel pad is completely dry before you freeze it again.
Cleaning the attachments

Remove the attachment.

Remove the hair-lifting attachment with massage element from the epilating
head (Fig. 23).

Remove the shaving head comb attachment by pulling it off the shaving
head (Fig. 24).

Remove loose hairs from the attachment.

Rinse the attachment under the tap while turning it.
4
Dry the attachment before you use or store it.
Cleaning the epilating head

Push the epilating head in the direction of the arrows on the back of the
appliance (1) and remove it (2) (Fig. 14).

Remove loose hairs with the cleaning brush (Fig. 25).

Rinse the epilating head under the tap for 5-10 seconds while turning it (Fig. 26).

Shake the epilating head firmly (Fig. 27).
Dry the epilating head thoroughly with a tea towel.
Note: Make sure the epilating head is completely dry before you place it back onto the
appliance.
Cleaning the shaving head

Push the shaving head in the direction of the arrows on the back of the appliance
(1) and remove it (2). (Fig. 28)

Remove the shaving foil from the shaving head (Fig. 29).

Rinse the shaving foil and the inside of the shaving head under the tap for 5-10
seconds while turning them (Fig. 30).

Shake the shaving foil and shaving head firmly (Fig. 31).
Note: Do not exert any pressure on the shaving foil to avoid damage.
Note: Make sure the shaving foil and shaving head are completely dry before you place it
back onto the appliance.

Put the protection cap on the shaving head.
Tip: Rub a drop of sewing machine oil onto the shaving foil twice a year.
storage

Store the epilator, the attachments and the adapter in the storage pouch.

Put the protection cap on the shaving head when you store the appliance.
Replacement
All parts of the appliance can be replaced. If you need to replace one or more of
the parts, go to your Philips dealer or an authorised Philips service centre.
shaving head
If you use the shaving head two or more times a week, replace the shaving unit after
one or two years or if it is damaged.
Environment

Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end
of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this,
you help to preserve the environment (Fig. 32).

If the ice gel pad is damaged, you can throw it away with the normal household
waste.
