Your Ladyshave
(fig. 1)
• The shaver head
A
consists of a shaver foil which leaves
your skin really smooth and two trimmers for the longer
hairs.
Protect the Ladyshave by putting the protective cap back
after each use.
• Use the small brush
B
to clean the Ladyshave after each
use.
• A voltage selector
C
is situated at the back of the
Ladyshave. Use a coin to turn the voltage selector. When
set to position “115” you can connect your Ladyshave to an
electric mains of 110-120 V (alternating current = 50 Hz)
and when set to position “230” to an electric mains of
220-240 V (alternating current = 50 Hz).
Pay attention to this when taking your Ladyshave along on
a journey.
• Connect your Ladyshave to the electric mains with the
cord
D
. Push the cord into the appliance as far as the line
on the plug.
• Switch the Ladyshave on and off with the switch
E
.
Shaving
(fig. 2-5)
Ensure your skin is clean and in particular completely dry
before shaving. (If you have sensitive skin, apply a light
dusting of talc before shaving.)
Stretch the skin taut between two fingers so that the hairs
stand up, and put the Ladyshave gently on the skin. Move
the Ladyshave slowly and at an angle to the hair growth.
After each use: always clean
(fig. 6-8)
Your Ladyshave will have a considerably longer life if you
clean it after each use. This is done as follows:
- Switch the Ladyshave off.
4
- Remove the shaver head (fig. 6). Tap it out and blow it
clean. Use the small brush to remove hairs from the
Ladyshave (fig. 7).
- Put the shaver head back onto the Ladyshave (fig. 8). Do
not press on the shaver foil when placing the shaver head.
- Put the protective cap back onto the shaver again to
prevent the shaver head from being damaged.
One or two times a year
(fig. 9-12)
Spend some time on maintenance once or twice per year.
Remove the shaver head from the Ladyshave and clean it
with alcohol or Philips Shaver Cleaner.
Then rub a drop of sewing machine oil into each trimmer and
into the shaver foil with your finger (fig. 9).
The shaver head can be replaced if defective.
A replacement shaver head is available from your dealer
under type number HP 2901.
Cleaning the inside of the shaver head
Note: Never apply pressure on the shaver foil.
Handle the shaver foil holder precisely as indicated in the
figures.
- Fig 10 Hold the shaver head over a flat surface (e.g. table
top). Position the end of the brush on the side of the shaver
head as indicated.
- Fig. 11 Lever the brush as indicated by the arrow. When
doing so, you loosen the shaver foil holder. You can now
brush the inside of the shaver head.
- Fig. 12 After cleaning place the shaver foil holder on a
clean, smooth surface, with the shaver foil facing
downwards. (The shaver foil will not touch the surface as
the shaver foil holder will rest on the rims.) Hold the part
containing the trimmers as illustrated and press it home
firmly (“Click!”).
